The third and final design of the Hangzhou Meteorological Office’s compound came as a request from the client for a more traditional tower facade. This way the design focused on a simple and elegant grid that would enhance the volumes. The whole solution revolves around an elegant simplicity, clean lines and easy to recognize imagery.

The request came as in China when discussing the project with the local city administration more designs are required in order to cover all possible discussion fields and design requests that might come up. Though this was regarded as the safe version the overall image is kept as elegant and economic as ever.
